Ambolt ("we", "us") builds a workout logging and training app. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it. We keep it short and plain.

What we collect

Account: your email address, handled through our authentication provider. Workout data: the exercises, sets, reps, weights, and sessions you log. Profile (optional): a display name and the bodyweight, height, sex, and birth year you choose to enter, used to estimate calories and stats. We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or advertising identifiers.

How we use it

Only to run the app for you: to save your workouts, show your history, progress, and stats, and keep you signed in. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your account and workout data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), and your optional profile data on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by removing it or deleting your account.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored with Supabase, our backend and authentication provider, on servers in the European Union (eu-central-1). Supabase processes data on our behalf as a processor. Access is restricted per-user by row-level security.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data, except with the processors required to operate the app (Supabase) and where we are legally required to.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account from within the app (or by contacting us); this removes your personal data from our systems, subject to any backups that age out on a routine cycle.

Your rights

If you are in the EEA you can request access to your data, correction, erasure, a portable export, and you can object to or restrict processing or withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise any of these.

Security

We use industry-standard protections including encryption in transit and per-user access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Ambolt is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app.
